Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty has been dominating the field this season, making a strong case for the Heisman Trophy as the Broncos push through an impressive 8-1 record.
Jeanty, a junior, has amassed 1,734 rushing yards on 224 carries with an incredible 24 total touchdowns, putting him firmly in the national spotlight. But while his on-field performance is capturing fans’ attention, his recent comments on his NFL dreams are adding intrigue.
On the “Kickin’ it With Dee” podcast hosted by Donald “Deestroying” De La Haye, Jeanty shared that his ideal NFL destination would be close to home.
When asked where he’d most like to play, he shared his vision, saying, “If I can script it, my family’s all in Texas. Family being there, all the connections, all the relationships, I feel like that would just be the perfect city to play in.”
De La Haye encouraged the possibility of Jeanty playing in Dallas, adding, “Jerry Jones, make the call,” to which Jeanty replied enthusiastically, “You know what to do.”
Though Jeanty never directly named the Cowboys, his response stirred up excitement about the potential to play in his home state, near Frisco, Texas, less than 30 miles from Dallas.
His Texas ties add another layer of appeal to his pro prospects, especially as he approaches the NFL Draft with one of the most impressive college resumes in the country.
As Jeanty and the Broncos prepare for their next matchup against San Jose State, his sights are clearly set on a future that could bring him closer to family—and possibly, the NFL stage he dreams of.
