Taylor Swift celebrates first Thanksgiving with Travis Kelce

Prior to Thanksgiving, Travis Kelce’s mom, Donna Kelce, was not sure if they would be able to celebrate the occasion with Taylor Swift. After all, the music icon was busy preparing for the final stretch of her “Eras Tour” concert in Canada.

Not to mention, Swift had barely gotten a break amid all her commitments. She also has her own family to cater to. Furthermore, there was the fact that Travis Kelce had a scheduled game with the Kansas City Chiefs the next day. That being said, there was no assurance that the couple would be together for the holiday.

Come Thanksgiving, however, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were reportedly not only able to spend time together. They were also able to arrange for their families to be together in one big celebration.

“Taylor and Travis had a great Thanksgiving together with their families,” a source told PEOPLE. “It’s the first Thanksgiving they celebrated together.”

The source added, “Taylor and her family were excited to host the Kelces this year. [Travis’ brother] Jason was there with his family and kids too. It was very festive and special.”

For what it’s worth, there was a rumor about the possibility of Taylor Swift hosting a Thanksgiving celebration with Travis Kelce’s family.

Prior to the celebration, the Daily Mail reported that the Grammy winner’s private jet took a trip to Kansas City before immediately returning to Nashville on Wednesday evening. Jason Kelce’s plane was also spotted heading to Swift’s home state, fueling speculation that they would be having Thanksgiving together.

It should be noted that Swift was also in attendance during the Chiefs’ Week 13 win over the Las Vegas Raiders on Black Friday. The pop star actually entered the arena with Travis Kelce’s mom.

By the looks of it, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce had plenty of time to bond with each other’s families.
