The Dallas Cowboys (3-6) didn’t need more injuries before their Week 11 matchup with the Houston Texans (6-4) on Monday night. The Cowboys season is already on life support with quarterback Dak Prescott out for the season due to a hamstring injury he suffered in Week 9.
Earlier this week, Prescott’s replacement Cooper Rush was added to the Week 11 injury report for having a neck injury. He was a full participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday and should get the start for Dallas on Monday night.
The Cowboys had a surprise injury pop up on Saturday.
CeeDee Lamb has a concerning injury
Per ESPN‘s Adam Schefter, the Cowboys placed Lamb on the injury report Saturday for having a back issue. He might not play against the Texans.
“Cowboys ruled out CB DaRon Bland for Monday night’s game vs. the Texans and are listing WR CeeDee Lamb as questionable due to a back injury,” Schefter posted on X.

Lamb is the Dallas Cowboys’ best WR
Lamb is the Cowboys’ leading receiver entering Monday night’s contest. The 2020 first-round pick has 59 receptions on 94 targets for 681 yards and four touchdowns in 2024.
A back injury is a concerning issue for an athlete the Cowboys gave a four-year contract extension worth $136 million in August. The nature of the injury means he could be fluid for the rest of the season, and it’s an issue that could flare up at various points in his career.
The Cowboys will have a new wide receiver active for Monday night. Jonathan Mingo, who Dallas traded for last week, will make his debut against the Texans.
