Notwithstanding, despite his 13-year career in the league, he has had to prove himself over again. Especially last season, where he wasn’t okay about being constantly snubbed for Defensive Player of the Year.
And with his numbers this season, he surely has a chance of ending the season with the much-coveted award. And he would have coach Redick to thank for unleashing him.
Lakers bounce back as Anthony Davis, LeBron James lead charge in 116-106 win over 76ers
The Los Angeles Lakers returned home from a disappointing 1-4 road trip and secured a much-needed 116-106 victory over the shorthanded Philadelphia 76ers. Head coach JJ Redick made a key adjustment as he benched D’Angelo Russell in favor of Cam Reddish.
Anthony Davis dominated the 76ers’ smaller frontcourt, as he scored 31 points on 11-of-20 shooting, grabbed nine rebounds, and blocked four shots. Also, LeBron James assumed a facilitator role, as he dished out 13 assists and recorded his latest triple-double with 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 13 assists.
Furthermore, the Lakers’ victory improved their record to 5-4, as it provided a welcome boost after their struggles on the road. With Davis and James leading the charge, Los Angeles proved they can take care of business against weaker opponents, which then sets the stage for a crucial matchup against the Toronto Raptors next.
