Charles Barkley is not the type who keeps his true feelings to himself. Nevertheless, being the professional that he is, the Hall of Famer still practices a certain level of restraint as a host/analyst for TNT.
This was not the case on Tuesday, though, after the former NBA MVP was caught on a hot mic sharing his brutally honest thoughts on the Golden State Warriors and their current state this season.
In a brief clip that is now circulating on social media, Barkley is heard insulting the Warriors during an NBA on TNT broadcast.
“Yo man, Golden State stinks,” Barkley said.
Barkley was caught uttering his merciless jab as the video was trailing off, which likely means that the NBA broadcaster was under the belief that he was no longer on air. Then again, this is the type of statement Barkley is more than comfortable saying during a live broadcast, too, so there probably won’t be any regret on his end here.
For their part, the Warriors are in action on Tuesday as they host the New Orleans Pelicans at Chase Center. Stephen Curry and Co. are coming off a 112-104 loss against the Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday after winning their first two games of the season.
They get a chance to prove Barkley wrong on Tuesday night.
