Dallas Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb shrugged off, avoiding any comment on HOF Troy Aikman’s admission that the team was lazy. The 25-year-old decided to embark on a word duel with the legendary player.
Three-time Super Bowl champion Aikman recently stirred up strong reactions with his criticism of the Dallas Cowboys. Aikman referred to the team as led by CeeDee Lamb, calling the group’s performance “lazy” and “terrible.” He expressed concern about the routes run by receivers and said they have to get a lot better.
CeeDee Lamb admitted that the team needs to get better overall, via Calvin Watkins of Dallas Morning News. However, Lamb didn’t want to add further regarding the recent comments by Troy Aikman, possibly to avoid a PR nightmare.
The Dallas Cowboys hold a 3-3 record and have yet to secure a home victory this season, facing three consecutive losses at AT&T Stadium. In their most recent setback, a 47-9 blowout loss to the Detroit Lions, quarterback Dak Prescott, and the offense seemed out of sync, hindering the team’s ability to establish a steady rhythm.
The Cowboys are coming out of a bye week to face the San Francisco 49ers. Despite initial struggles and a losing record, the Niners are still a strong foe. The Cowboys would have to recalibrate their offense after a week of rejuvenation. A win at Levi’s Stadium is, however, not impossible – if they can score some early points and keep the momentum, they could stage a victory.
