NFL Podcast Host Facing Serious Backlash For ‘Vile’ Taylor Swift Comment
Apparently, Taylor Swift’s presence alone has annoyed some NFL fans.
Swift has been very supportive of Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs for the past year. She hasn’t done anything controversial that may offend people, but NFL podcaster Cam Stewart doesn’t seem to care. During a recent episode of his podcast, he made it clear that he’s fed up with seeing her on NFL Sundays.
On the latest episode of “The Drew & Stew Podcast,” Stewart said he’ll be rooting for the Buffalo Bills this weekend when they take on the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Honest to God, Kansas City fans, it’s not personal. If I meet a Kansas City fan, you could be the nicest guy in the world. I hate your team and I hate the way they’re getting benefits from the NFL,” Stewart said. “Buffalo, knock these [expletives] around. I want Mahomes on the deck.”
Stewart’s co-host, Drew Livingstone, then mentioned that Swift could attend Sunday’s matchup. Clearly, that’s the last thing that he wanted to hear.
“Oh who cares? Throw her in the [Niagara] Falls,” Stewart replied.
Obviously, fans of Swift are furious with this remark. Even if Stewart is joking, he shouldn’t talk about throwing her off a waterfall.
“Buddy. There are fans more powerful and more ruthless than Chiefs fans. They are called Swifties. They are about to unleash hell on your life. Big mistake,” one person said.
Another person replied, “At this point, let’s not make it easy for them to get clicks by easily riling us up by using Taylor. They’re miserable old men who are using whatever means to get notoriety.”
“Just for him saying that I can’t wait for Tayvoodoo to get him,” a third person wrote.
Swift has not addressed this comment from Stewart nor will she since it’s beneath her.
As for Stewart, we’re not sure if he regrets what he said. If so, he may end up issuing an apology to Swifties.
