Chelsea fans BLAME Kai Havertz for celebrating goal against his former club by ‘shutting them up’ – before Arsenal star sees his shot ruled out for offside

Online, Chelsea fans are upset with Arsenal forward Kai Havertz because he seemed to “shush” fans after scoring a goal in the first half that was later found to be offside.

Blues fans say the forward is a former player, so the move was insulting, and they don’t think the player needed to be pushed.

Gunners fans have defended the German player, saying he was entitled to act that way because of how fans treated him at the west London club.

The event took place in the 32nd minute of Arsenal’s home game against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge. Claudius Rice took a quick free kick, and Havertz ran onto it and put his shot past Blues goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.

The forward then celebrated by putting his finger to his lips in a “shushing” motion, which angered the home fans. They may have had the last laugh when VAR stepped in and ruled the goal was offside.

There was a heated fight between fans of both teams right away over Havertz’s celebration, which centered on how Chelsea fans felt about their former player.

The argument began with a post on X. One fan wrote, “Kai Havertz shushing the Chelsea fans when they stood by his awful performances for so long is nothing short of comical.” A pretty average player with only one big goal who took up too much space and couldn’t play any position. Terrible.’

After this, someone said something mean about the player, like, “He needs to keep his ego in check.”

One person strongly defended the former Blues player, saying, “Chelsea fans bullied the guy and made a scapegoat out of him. They even made the Matter more irritable by bullying and trolling him when he was having trouble at Arsenal.” It’s simple to blame the player for getting likes and impressions.

“I haven’t seen a nice comment from a Chelsea fan about him, so I can understand,” said someone else about the player-club relationship.

Another Chelsea fan had a more balanced view of his time at Stamford Bridge: “He wasn’t bad for us, but he has taken his game to the next level.” I like that he works hard.

Gabriel Martinelli and Pedro Neto scored goals in the game between the two London clubs, which ended in a tie. Both teams got a point on Sunday night.

There, he played 139 times in all divisions over three years (2020–2023) at Stamford Bridge. He is now 25 years old. He reportedly paid £65 million to join Arsenal in June 2023.

But Blues fans didn’t like Havertz, even though he scored 32 goals during that time. They think he didn’t live up to his promise as a consistent goal threat after joining Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.

Havertz’s best moment in football came when he played for Chelsea and scored the only goal in the 2021 UEFA Champions League final, which helped the Blues beat Manchester City and win their second European Championship.
