The Pittsburgh Steelers are prepping for their Week 10 trip to the DMV to face the resurgent Washington Commanders, who lead the NFC East.
Pittsburgh will have to gameplan to beat rookie phenom quarterback Jayden Daniels, but they are catching a break of sorts as Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. won’t be suiting up on Sunday.
The former Alabama Crimson Tide running back is dealing with a hamstring issue that will keep him out of the lineup. He was a limited participant in practice on Wednesday and Thursday but was out on Friday.
Chris Rodriguez and Austin Ekeler filled in against the Giants last week with Rodriguez leading the way with 11 carries for 52 yards and Ekeler also had 11 carries for 42 yards and one score. Jeremy McNichols carried eight times for 20 yards.
For the season, Robinson has 461 yards with six touchdowns to go along with nine receptions for 79 yards.
The Steelers will dodge a second bullet on Sunday with newly acquired corner Marshon Lattimore missing the game with a hamstring.
The Steelers and Commanders kick off at 1 p.m. ET on CBS from Northwest Stadium.
