The Baltimore Ravens improved to 7-3 with a thrilling win over the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday night, taking down Joe Burrow and company with a 34-35 final score.
The Bengals scored a touchdown with just over 30 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter, and head coach Zac Taylor elected to go for a two-point conversion and the win.
Burrow and the Bengals failed to convert, giving the ball back to Jackson and the Ravens in victory formation.
The Ravens are clicking on all cylinders at the midway point of the 2024 NFL season, and much of that success can be attributed to the addition of all-time great running back Derrick Henry.
While Henry didn’t amass his typical rushing yardage on Thursday night, he did punch in another touchdown from the one-yard line.
After the game, Amazon Prime Video “Thursday Night Football” analyst Andrew Whitworth asked Jackson about what it’s like to watch Henry work up close and personal.
In response, Jackson posed a 4-word question for Henry.
“Who created you, bro?” Jackson said with a laugh.
“This man is different. He’s a beast,” the superstar quarterback added. “I feel like King Henry the name, it’s just self explanatory.”
Heading into Thursday night’s primetime matchup, Henry led the league in rushing attempts (168), rushing yards (1,052) and rushing touchdowns (11). The 30-year-old running back added to those league-best totals with 16 carries for 68 yards and a touchdown against the Bengals.
Jackson, a leading candidate for the 2024 NFL MVP trophy, posted another stellar outing on Thursday night. The electrifying QB completed 25 of his 33 pass attempts for 290 yards and four touchdowns.
Jackson, Henry and the Ravens will face off against the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers in a Week 11 matchup next Sunday.
