Thirteen-time NBA All-Star Dwyane Wade nearly played his entire career with the Miami Heat. However, he had a one-season stint playing for his hometown team, the Chicago Bulls. Wade signed with Chicago during the 2016 free agency after he was reportedly displeased with Miami’s offer.

While Wade only played one year for the Bulls, he nearly joined them much earlier in his career. During the summer of 2010, he wanted to join a team that could contend for a title and he felt like the Heat were not in a position to do that. However, a phone call from LeBron James prevented him from leaving Miami.

Wade discussed the situation on the Wednesday episode of “The OGs” show with former teammates Mike Miller and Udonis Haslem.
