Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson was missing from practice on Wednesday.
On Wednesday during the media available portion of practice, only two Baltimore Ravens quarterbacks were in attendance as reigning MVP Lamar Jackson was withheld. According to Head Coach John Harbaugh, it was a rest day for him. But the injury report revealed he is dealing with injury.
The severity of the injuries is unknown at this time. However, from what Harbaugh indicated, it can be assumed it’s nothing serious.
“[He had] a rest day. He’s been playing great, and we have a lot of football in front of us,” Harbaugh said. “We have another big game coming up, so that was warranted today.”
The Ravens are set to play the Denver Broncos on Sunday and their defense is among the NFL’s best in generating pressure. Given Jackson is bearing a lot on his shoulders in this offense, a rest day with a couple minor injuries makes sense.
Another notable name on the injury report — in a good way — is running back Keaton Mitchell. On Wednesday, he was a full participant in practice.
Mitchell returned to practice last Wednesday and looked to be a ways off from getting back onto the playing field. But a week later, he is healthy enough to fully participate and practice and his status for Sunday is trending upward.
