‘Stay in your lane’: Dallas Cowboys star erupts at NFL reporter over social media post
Dallas Cowboys star Trevon Diggs has taken aim at an NFL reporter in an expletive-laden spray following his team’s loss against the San Francisco 49ers.
With the Cowboys leading 10-6 in the third quarter, Diggs missed a tackle that allowed George Kittle to score a touchdown.
Local anchor Mike Leslie took to social media to question the Cowboys star’s effort.
“What is Trevon Diggs doing on this play?” he said via X.
San Francisco would go on to win the game 30-24 over their AFC rivals and the frustration clearly got the better of the star cornerback post-game.
Still padded up in his full uniform, Diggs stormed out of the Cowboys locker room to confront Leslie over his social media post.
“Out of that whole play, that’s what you took from that? You don’t know football,” he said.
“You can’t do nothing I can do, you can’t go out there and do nothing.
“Stay in your lane buddy, stop playing with me.”
Leslie would respond by saying he was “just asking a question” and Diggs would then come back for a second bite.
“It was a terrible question,” he said.
“Out of that whole play, that’s what you took from that? F—–g clown bro.”
The reporter didn’t back down from Diggs, asking him to “talk about it more” in an attempt to defuse the situation – but the 26-year-old was in no mood.
“Talk about deez nuts,” Diggs replied before walking back into the sheds.
Dallas have struggled for the majority of this season, winning just three games to sit in third place on the NFC east standings.
