Keyshawn Johnson emphasized that if the Cowboys hope to make the playoffs, Dak Prescott must perform at the level of a $60 million-a-year quarterback.

Dak Prescott made the best use of the Dallas Cowboys bye week. He got engaged. But that doesn’t mean he only spent time buying a diamond ring. Prescott also focused on making his connection strong with CeeDee Lamb.
The Cowboys need both of them to be in their best form, even if they are facing a 3-4 49ers this week. Kyle Shanahan’s side will still pose a challenge despite a nonexistent wide receiver core and coming off a humbling loss to the Kansas City Chiefs.
Former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Johnson believes that this is the best opportunity for Dak Prescott to bounce back from back-to-back losses that have stranded the Cowboys to a 3-3 start. Johnson wants the three-time Pro Bowler to prove that the $60 million annual salary is justified.

Being average is not going to cut it for Dak Prescott and Dallas Cowboys
Mike McCarthy has led the Cowboys to consecutive 12-5 finishes, reaching the playoffs three years in a row. However, the chances of making it four look bleak, but success will equal their campaign in the 1990s when they won multiple Super Bowl titles.
The quarterback from that winning team, Troy Aikman, stated the harsh reality of the current Cowboys’ situation. Aikman spared Prescott and targeted the receivers for not showing urgency on gamedays. However, Prescott understands everything starts with him. If the quarterback doesn’t play to a high standard, then the team struggles as well.
The 31-year-old last year threw 30+ touchdowns after the bye week and ended up leading the league in total touchdown passes. He also had the best completion rate (69.5%) among the top QBs.
The 49ers game will set the tone for the remainder of the season. Dallas needs to win 9 of their remaining 11 games to achieve one of the top two seeds and at least 9 wins and luck elsewhere to squeeze into the wildcard.
