Dallas Cowboys Reveal Positive Update On Micah Parsons Injury..

The Dallas Cowboys are in big trouble this season. They sit with a 3-3 record that could be much worse, and they face the San Francisco 49ers this week who are also in a must-win scenario. The issue for both of these teams is that they have so many injuries at key positions.

There seem to be so many injuries around the league this season, but the Cowboys specifically, are in brutal shape, and they are not going to get their best player Micah Parsons back for this game. They may not be getting him back for multiple games after this, but still, they got a positive update from head coach Mike McCarthy ahead of their crucial matchup.

The 49ers also have some big-time injuries for their team including Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, and Deebo Samuel. Dallas has injuries to their two most important defensive players cornerback DaRon Bland and rusher Micah.

The team head coach commented on where Micah is at in terms of his injury, and while he is not close to being back at practice there is some optimism that he will return in the coming weeks:

“Micah is improving,” McCarthy said, according to The Athletic’s Jon Machota.

“He’ll be part of the rehab group today. We don’t have him set for reps.”

McCarthy was asked what he would need to see from Parsons to him to return against the 49ers, and he admitted that the team is taking it day by day with the defensive star.

“Well, there’s always a threshold of return to play. He’s not over that threshold yet,” McCarthy said

“Until he can get out there and cut it loose, I think when you have veteran players, the general is if they don’t practice on Saturday they’re not going to play in the game. If you’re looking for a finish line, it would be full participant player in Saturday’s practice.”

McCarthy said that he wasn’t concerned with Parsons’ readiness, noting that he’s “played a lot of football for us” and that he has a “high understanding of our defense.”

Losing Micah was one of the worst possible things that could happen for this Dallas team, and they will need a miracle to turn things around this season.

If they do not there are surely some major changes coming for Dallas across the board.
