The Las Vegas Raiders have found themselves at the center of various storylines over the past couple of weeks, and none of them have been for reasons they’d like to be.
It started with the drama surrounding three-time All-Pro receiver Davante Adams, who wanted out and was eventually traded to the New York Jets. It then turned into questions about their quarterback situation, which seems like a lost cause at this point. On top of those, star pass rusher Maxx Crosby is entrenched in trade rumors.
However, defensive back Jack Jones made sure to bring another level of drama to Las Vegas on Wednesday when he expressed that Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes intimated no one in the locker room. While you obviously don’t expect professionals to fear another player, it certainly isn’t wise to make Mahomes sound like he’s a run-of-the-mill player like Jones did.
“I ain’t intimidated by him,” Jones said of Mahomes. “I don’t think nobody in this locker room intimidated by him. There’s good players all across the league. He a good player so we see guys every week…We focused on us more so than we are about him.”
Comments that fans on social media didn’t think needed to be made.
“Surely this will end well!” wrote one fan.
“They way you’ve been talking I’d be quiet bro,” commented another.
“He needs to worry about tackling and effort,” wrote another clearly referring to Jones being the subject of making “business decisions.”
“Mahomes gonna juke the soul out his body lmfao,” added another.
As if Mahomes needed more motivation to want to embarrass the Raiders, the video of rookie safety Trey Taylor with a Mahomes Kermit the Frog puppet from training camp is also making its rounds.
A video where Taylor is clearly making fun of Mahomes’ voice and even went as far as to call him a b****.
According to ESPN, the Chiefs are favored by 9.5 points, which is the second-largest line in the NFL in Week 8, and they also have a 73.4% chance of winning.
It’ll certainly be interesting to see how things go on Sunday to say the least.
