Buddy Hield exploded off the bench during his first regular season game with the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night.

He posted 22 points and 5 rebounds, leading his new team in points.

Hield was very happy with his output and spoke about it following the Warriors’ win.

“The last time it was free like this was at Oklahoma,” Hield said, according to Legion Hoops.

Hield is referencing his time in college when he played for Oklahoma.

Because of his hard work and amazing output in school, he was then selected as the sixth overall pick in the 2016 NBA draft.

After playing for the New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings, Indiana Pacers, and Philadelphia 76ers, Hield came to the Warriors in the summer.

Fans weren’t sure what to expect from Hield but it seems like he could be a long-lost Splash Brother and might produce a lot offensively for Golden State.

He has a career average of 15.5 points, 4.2 rebounds, and 2.6 assists on 43.4% from the field and 40.1% from the three-point line.

Hield was red-hot on Wednesday night and it caught the attention of many Warriors fans.

Now they are wondering what he can do next.

The team is in a tough spot and many fans assume this will be a transitional year that might not have a lot of victories.

But they claimed a strong one during their opening night and that was partly thanks to Hield.

He is happy about his performance and his place on the team and is ready to continue shooting well all season long.

Hield hasn’t felt this good since college and that suggests an exciting new chapter is starting for him.
