Skip Bayless continues his usual routine of attacking Los Angeles Lakers superstar guard and future Hall of Famer LeBron James.
Skip Bayless and LeBron James
Skip Bayless has spent a major part of his career being a constant thorn in LeBron James’ side. Despite all the achievements of the four-time NBA champion, Bayless always has something to say to downplay his efforts.
He recently sparked another controversy when he referenced his wife in his long-standing desire to constantly attack the Lakers star. He made this unique comment when he appeared as a guest on the Pat Bev podcast hosted by former Milwaukee Bucks player, Patrick Beverley.

Last season, as the Lakers struggled to get past the Denver Nuggets, he criticized LeBron James for his lack of clutch genes. It got to a point that he was slammed alongside another James hater, Stephen A. Smith.
The Lakers open their season with a tough game against last season’s defeated Western Conference finalists, the Minnesota Timberwolves. And Bayless or not, King James knows he has nothing to prove anymore in his 22nd season as a professional player.
Skip Bayless evaluates Bronny James’ breakout performance, highlights key flaw
It appears Skip Bayless has found a new target for the new season as he shared his thoughts on Bronny James’ impressive showing in the Lakers’ preseason finale against the Golden State Warriors. Bronny started and scored 17 points, and added four rebounds, one assist, three steals, and one block.
Lakers got annihilated at GSt … but Bronny started, played 35 minutes, scored 17, showed some offensive flashes … but only 1-5 from 3 with 1 assist. My one disappointment so far: Bronny doesn’t always play hard.

Despite his breakout performance, Bronny’s overall preseason stats were underwhelming, as he averaged 4.2 points per game on 29.7% shooting from the field and 8.3% from 3-point range. Nonetheless, he is widely expected to play a role in the season opener against the T-Wolves.
As the Lakers begin their season, coach JJ Redick’s decision on Bronny’s playing time will be closely watched. And while he threw his support for the rookie, Bronny has a lot of pressure on his young shoulders, especially with all the media attention on him.
