CASEMIRO lashed out at Alejandro Garnacho during Manchester United’s boring draw with Chelsea.
The Red Devils faced the Blues at Old Trafford in an underwhelming game.
However, there was one topic that got fans buzzing, and it included United’s South American duo.
Cameras captured Brazilian Casemiro yelling at Argentine winger Garnacho.
The cause for the midfielder’s reaction was obvious.
Casemiro, a former Real Madrid player, received a booking for a late tackle that he blamed on Garnacho.
Fans speculated that it was because he was upset that Garnacho handed the ball away.
Worse, he did not turn back, which frustrated his teammate.
While a fifth stated, “I hope Casemiro slaps Garnacho in the changing rooms after this match.”
It was a frustrating day for the Red Devils, who were unable to build on their midweek 5-2 Carabao Cup success over Leicester City with three points against Chelsea.
Manchester United ratings vs Chelsea
MARTIN BLACKBURN provides his assessment on the Red Devils vs. Chelsea
Andre Onana – 5Will be unhappy not to stop Caicedo’s equaliser.
Almost got Casemiro in trouble with a clumsy early pass.
Noussair Mazraoui – 6Key interception to prevent Neto sneaking in on goal late on, and sought to support Garnacho wherever possible.
Matthijs de Ligt – 6Good early block to deny Palmer.
Jackson’s late lapse under duress almost proved costly.
Lisandro Martinez – 6Lucky not to receive a penalty for a clumsy challenge on Colwill, and fortunate to avoid a red card for an x-rated late tackle on Palmer.
Diogo Dalot – 6Poor tackle on Pedro Neto resulted in a merited booking and a heated battle with his international teammate.
Casemiro – 7Made a difference with a wonderful ball to Hojlund in the buildup to the penalty, but he could have gained more distance by clearing Moises Caicedo’s header.
Manuel Ugarte – 6Rugby tackle on Palmer, but Uruguayan shows signs of settling in following a hefty summer move.
Alejandro Garnacho – 6Always a menace, but missed some golden opportunities.
After excellent work by Fernandes, I shot straight at Sanchez and missed another attempt.
Bruno Fernandes – 8He set up United’s finest two chances for Rashford and Garnacho before keeping his composure to strike from the penalty spot.
Marcus Rashford – 6.On the stroke of halftime, he hit the angle with a volley, but Sanchez stopped another effort.
Better from the England man.
Rasmus Hojlund – 6He didn’t touch the ball in the Chelsea area for the first half, but when he did, he won the penalty.
SubsAmad Diallo (73′ for Rashford)A few beautiful details, but not much impact.
Joshua Zirkzee (’84, Hojlund)A few beautiful details, but not much impact.
Victor Lindelof (’84 for Ugarte) was called on to keep things tight, and he delivered.
After a poor first half, it appeared like United had won with a penalty from Bruno Fernandes in the 70th minute.
However, they were pegged back four minutes later when Moises Caicedo volleyed the ball past Andre Onana.
United moved up to 13th in the league after gaining a point.
