Raphinha has enjoyed a remarkable turnaround this season at FC Barcelona. Having been constantly linked with a summer departure, the 27-year-old has become a big part of Hansi Flick’s plans and is going through the best form of his career.
Indeed, Raphinha has already netted 10 goals – the same as his tally in his first two seasons at the club, along with registering nine assists from just 14 matches in all competitions.
Having gone through a difficult period, during which he even considered leaving the club, the Brazilian winger is now a leader and a star player for Barcelona.
Renewal on the cards?
As such, SPORT reports that Barcelona are now considering offering a new contract for Raphinha.
The 27-year-old recently completed 100 games with the club and is happy and enjoying playing under Flick.
The Blaugrana see the value that the former Leeds United brings to the table, not only in terms of his performance, but his attitude, character, and leadership.
As such, the thought of offering Raphinha a new deal is being mulled over at the Catalan club.
The Brazilian international’s current contract runs until the summer of 2027, meaning he still has more than two years left on the deal.
So, there is unlikely to be any hurry on the club’s part, who are also trying to tie down other important players like Pedri, Gavi, and Ronald Araujo, whose contracts run down in 2026.
Raphinha, for his part, would be open to signing a new contract with Barcelona and as such when talks open over a renewal, things would be expected to flow smoothly without any issues.
