RAHEEM STERLING has given hints about what he plans to do after he retires, but he doesn’t want to take the usual path.
In Arsenal’s 5-1 win over Bolton last week, the star scored his first goal for the team since coming on loan from Chelsea.
It’s his 29th year as a manager, and he knows how to win titles. He hopes that his team-mates will learn from him as they try to win their first Premier League title since 2004.
However, Sterling has now said what he wants to do after football. He doesn’t want to become a coach like many other players do.

Sterling said he does not want to follow the traditional route
Sterling revealed he gets joy out of helping young people, and has set up a charitable foundation in his name
In Arsenal’s matchday magazine before their game against Leicester, Sterling said, “I don’t know about coaching yet, but maybe it has to do with working with young players and trying to help them deal with what’s next and get ready for that.”
It makes me happy to help other people. Getting people help in any way on the football pitch makes me very happy. It might not be teaching, but working with players in some way, but maybe not as a traditional coach.
“My goal is to help the young players with different things, but I don’t know if that will happen yet. That’s something to remember.
“There is a qualification I want to do, not on the coaching side, but I will focus on playing first I think.”
In order to do that, Sterling has already set up a charity trust in his name that will help poor young people.
But the former star of Liverpool and Manchester City talked about a part of football he loves.
He loves the part so much that he will act like it when he watches football games at home.
“I love the analysis side so much,” he said. Now that’s my best part. Studying your opponents so you know what they’re going to do and what you need to do to beat them.
“That’s pretty cool, because that’s football.” You have to be ready for everything the other team can throw at you, and then you have to be even more ready than them.
“I believe that the winner will be the team that consistently does that part of the game better.” This is something I’d like to do with the teachers because I love it when we do it together.
“I find it really interesting, and I love meeting with them to hear their plans and hear their analysis.”
“Whenever I watch a game at home, I like to try to figure out what each team is doing.”
Do more than just watch the game or what’s going on. Figure out why things are happening or not happening.
“I think that’s a side of the game that’s really grown in the past few years, and the environments I’ve been in have allowed me to see the game more in that way.”
