A report in Sport Bild says that Arsenal is now trying to sign Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz. More information is on iMiaSanMia.

It makes sense that Real Madrid would want to sign the German defender. He is only 21 years old, but he is already one of the most exciting young football players in the world.

Arsenal, on the other hand, has been watching Wirtz for a while now. They saw him play for DC Köln when he was younger.

Wirtz has a deal with Bayer Leverkusen until 2027, but he is said to already know what he wants to do next.

He wants to play for and win a Champions League title with a different team when he leaves the Bundesliga team.

He also wants to play for a team that will let him compete for individual awards like the Ballon d’Or. Bayer Leverkusen wants €150 million for Wirtz because they know how good he can be.

It doesn’t look like Wirtz will be leaving Leverkusen any time soon. Although, Real Madrid is thought to be the favorite to sign the playmaker in the end.

One big reason for this is that Xabi Alonso, who is currently the manager of Bayer Leverkusen, could replace Carlo Ancelotti as manager of Real Madrid when the Italian coach leaves.

Alonso and Wirtz have worked together a lot, and the former midfielder’s impact could be very important in any possible transfer.

Even though the next summer transfer window isn’t until a while from now, Real Madrid is thought to be the favorite to sign Wirtz. Arsenal, Bayern Munich, and other top European teams give them a lot of competition.

But because of how big Real Madrid is and what might happen with their manager in the future, they are still in a strong position to get Wirtz if he chooses to move.
