Shohei Ohtani Injury: Dave Roberts Provides Major Update on Dodgers Star

Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani suffered a shoulder injury in Game 2 of the World Series against the New York Yankees.

After the game, manager Dave Roberts provided the latest update on Ohtani.

“He has a left shoulder subluxation. We’re gonna get some tests at some point tonight, tomorrow. And then we’ll know more in the next couple days. But the strength was great, range of motion good.”

Ohtani suffered the injury while sliding into second base on a stolen base attempt in the bottom of the seventh inning. He was heard on the Japanese broadcast saying his shoulder popped out.

Ohtani has gone 1-for-8 in the World Series thus far, with a double and a walk.

The Dodgers travel to New York for the next three games of this World Series, starting Monday night. The Dodgers will hope Ohtani is able to travel with the team and play.
