Patrick Mahomes<\/span>\u00a0has aired his frustrations with the burglaries that took place last month at his home and at the mansion belonging to teammate and close friend\u00a0Travis Kelce<\/span>.<\/p>\n

Mahomes’ residence in the\u00a0Kansas<\/span>\u00a0City area was hit by thieves around midnight on October 6, with Kelce’s home being targeted around 48 hours later.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs quarterback could not speak to specifics in regards to the incidents as it is under investigation. He did not hold back on the situation at-large.<\/p>\n

‘Obviously, it’s frustrating. It’s disappointing,’ Mahomes said Wednesday, speaking on the matter publicly for the first time. ‘Obviously something that you don’t want to have happen to really anybody. But obviously yourself.’<\/p>\n

It is unclear whether anyone was home at the time of either burglary. It is also unknown what was taken from Mahomes’ residence.<\/p>\n

Local police have stated $20,000 in cash was missing from Kelce’s home after it was burglarized.<\/p>\n

No charges have been officially filed from the incidents yet. However, Mahomes said he expects the details from the burglaries to be released sometime in the future.<\/p>\n

Kelce has yet to speak on the situation publicly but should be made available to the media by the Chiefs at some point over the next week.<\/p>\n

Mahomes and Kelce both live in the Kansas City suburbs, both about a half hour from Arrowhead Stadium.<\/p>\n

Kelce moved into his new home in Leawood, Kansas last year, while the Mahomes family resides in Belton, Missouri.<\/p>\n

The Chiefs are the best team in the NFL with a 9-0 record and face possibly their toughest test of the season on Sunday by traveling to face the Buffalo Bills.<\/p>\n

Kansas City has not lost a game since last Christmas and enters that mega-AFC matchup on a 15-game win streak.<\/p>\n
