NFL fans have clearly been impacted by the results of the election. The 2024 Presidential Election wrapped up days ago, withDonald Trump elected\u00a0as the 47th President of the United States. Yet, many Americans are still grappling with disappointment over the result.<\/p>\n

Some have taken to social media to vent their frustration, targeting even the most uncontroversial posts in an outpouring of discontent.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shortly after Donald Trump\u2019s election victory was announced,\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs\u00a0tight end\u00a0Travis Kelce\u00a0shared a series of photos on Instagram celebrating his team\u2019s exciting Monday Night Football win over the\u00a0Tampa Bay Buccaneers.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>For Kelce, who\u2019s recently gained even more attention as\u00a0Taylor Swift\u2019s boyfriend, the post seemed like a routine highlight of his team\u2019s performance.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, the timing struck a nerve with some fans. Many responses poured in, accusing Kelce of being \u201cinsensitive\u201d for posting amid the heated aftermath of the contentious election:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cbb love you but feel like maybe this could have been rescheduled to post any day but today,\u201d a third wrote.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Unsurprisingly, Trump supporters quickly took notice of the \u201cread the room\u201d comments on Travis Kelce\u2019s post and wasted no time jumping in with their own replies. Many mocked those who criticized the timing of Kelce\u2019s post, pointing out Trump\u2019s recent victory as if to say, \u201cWe\u2019re here to celebrate.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you are upset, ok fine. Life goes on. Stop being dramatic and expecting the whole world to stop just because you got your feelings hurt. It is pathetic,\u201d another said. \u201cI\u2019m all for feelings and validation but MY GOODNESS.<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you so selfish and pitiful that you think everyone should cry and be distraught over an election? Get over it. The end. This manner\u00a0NFL\u00a0players page, he posted about FOOTBALL. Imagine. Sorry he didn\u2019t ask your permission first.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cAre there rules as to when he should or not post about football on his football page? The man plays football and posts about football. It\u2019s his job to play football and choose a day, any day he wants to post about it.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Adding to the tension, Taylor Swift was one of Kamala Harris\u2019s most high-profile backers. With her massive influence and worldwide fanbase, Swift\u2019s open support for Harris made her loss all the more disappointing for her followers. For Swifties, watching their favorite pop star\u2019s candidate fall short felt like a personal setback, which may have fueled some of the frustration on Kelce\u2019s page.<\/p>\n

Despite the uproar around him, Kelce has stayed neutral, steering clear of making any political statements. He\u2019s kept his social media focused on football, never sharing his opinions on the election or aligning himself with either side. By keeping politics out of his public persona, Kelce has managed to avoid becoming a talking point in this divided political climate.<\/p>\n

Kelce is clearly locked in on his team and trying to make history by winning their third straight Super Bowl. At the moment it does not look like anyone is going to stop them as they are still undefeated and have not looked like they have even been tested.<\/span><\/p>\n
