The San Francisco 49ers got back into the win column with a 30-24 victory over the Dallas Cowboys on \u201cSunday Night Football.<\/em><\/p>\n

After taking a rough 28-18 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs the week prior, this win bumped the 49ers up to second place in the NFC West.<\/em><\/p>\n

However, after San Francisco\u2019s primetime defeat over Dallas in Week 8, defensive end Nick Bosa\u2019s political stunt stole the attention away from the team.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

While NBC\u2019s Melissa Stark interviewed Brock Purdy, George Kittle and Isaac Guerendo on the field at Levi\u2019s Stadium, Bosa interrupted their chat to flash a gold-and-white \u201cMake America Great Again\u201d hat.<\/em><\/p>\n

Bosa appeared to clearly violate Rule 5, Article 4, Section 8 of the NFL rulebook which prohibits players from \u201cwearing, displaying, or otherwise conveying personal messages\u2026 which relate to political activities or causes.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

This rules remains in effect \u201cthroughout the period on game day that a player is visible to the stadium and television audience (including in pregame warm-ups, in the bench area, and during postgame interviews in the locker room or on the field).\u201d On Nov. 1, the NFL announced they were investigating Bosa\u2019s MAGA stunt, and made a decision about his punishment.<\/em><\/p>\n

CBS\u2019 NFL insider Jonathan Jones posted, \u201cThe NFL is looking into Nick Bosa wearing a MAGA hat Sunday postgame. There will not be a determination on any potential fine until later next week. I\u2019m told there is no consideration for any potential suspension.\u201d While Bosa will not be forced to miss any games, he may face a financial fine.<\/em><\/p>\n

Jones added, \u201cThe NFL does have a rule on the books prohibiting players from, among other things, wearing or displaying messages \u2018which relate to political activities or causes.\u2019 Based on the timeline from a source, appears if any punishment for Bosa comes, it will be after Election Day.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Considering the 27-year-old signed a five-year, $170 million contract extension with 49ers in 2023, it\u2019s unlikely that he\u2019s sweating a potential financial penalty. San Francisco is on a bye in Week 9. Next up, the 49ers play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Nov. 10.<\/em><\/p>\n

Tackling Costs: Flannigan-Fowles Fined More Than $10K Following 49ers\u2019 Win Over Cowboys!\u201d<\/em><\/h1>\n

Linebacker\u00a0Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles\u2019 bank account\u00a0took a hit during the 49ers\u2019 bye week.<\/em><\/p>\n

The NFL fined Flannigan-Fowles $10,750 for a hit he delivered while leading with his helmet in the 49ers\u2019 Week 8 win over the Dallas Cowboys last Sunday night at Levi\u2019s Stadium.<\/em><\/p>\n

Per\u00a0NBC Sports Bay Area\u2019s Matt Maiocco\u00a0and Jennifer Lee Chan, the league assessed an unnecessary roughness penalty on Flannigan-Fowles while levying the fine Saturday.<\/em><\/p>\n

Late in the first quarter of the 49ers\u2019 30-24 win,\u00a0Flannigan-Fowles\u00a0was part of a tackle on a punt return by Cowboys\u00a0wide receiver KaVontae Turpin, and San Francisco\u2019s linebacker appeared to launch at Turpin with the crown of his helmet.<\/em><\/p>\n

No penalty flag was thrown on the field but a scuffle ensued between 49ers and Cowboys players, leading to offsetting dead-ball unnecessary roughness infractions on San Francisco linebacker Fred Warner and Dallas wide receiver CeeDee Lamb, who both\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
