The Cleveland Browns gave a positive update on a linebacker after he suffered a scary injury against the Baltimore Ravens.<\/div>\n

The\u00a0C<\/a>leveland Browns\u00a0have some newfound hope after an impressive win against the\u00a0Baltimore Ravens<\/a>\u00a0on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Heading into the game on a five-game losing streak, the Browns upset the Ravens behind a strong performance by backup quarterback Jameis Winston. He finished the game with 334 passing yards and three touchdowns.<\/p>\n

While Cleveland did have an impressive performance on offense, they did suffer some crucial injuries on defense. Linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah, who leads the team with 61 tackles, suffered a scary head injury in the second half when his head directly collided with running back\u00a0Derrick Henry\u00a0on a tackle.<\/p>\n

Following the play, Owusu-Koramoah was placed on a backboard and carted out of the stadium before being immediately transported to a local hospital. He was confirmed to have full movement in his extremities soon after being transferred.<\/p>\n

On Monday, coach Kevin Stefanski gave a positive update on the linebacker, stating that he was out of the hospital and doing well. He did not give any sort of update on how much time he’ll miss, but he’s unlikely to return for the foreseeable future after the extreme injury.<\/p>\n

Star cornerback Denzel Ward also suffered a head injury in the second half and did not return in the win. Stefanski confirmed following the game that Ward suffered a concussion, meaning he could be out for Week 9 and potentially longer.<\/p>\n
