Jerry Jones\u00a0opened up about one of the star players getting into a heated altercation with a reporter, and the answers that Jones gave were quite surprising. The\u00a0Dallas Cowboys\u00a0are in the middle of a season to forget, and their players are clearly getting a bit upset with how the team is doing. Trevon Diggs got into a heated dispute with a reporter and said some pretty awful things.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jones did not admonish his player\u2019s behavior, and on the other hand, he tried to back Diggs up.<\/span><\/p>\n

Jones was asked about the viral interaction that took place between Diggs and a reporter:<\/p>\n

Cowboys DB Trevon Diggs confronted a reporter for a tweet he put out about Diggs play:<\/p>\n

Diggs: \u201cYou don\u2019t know football..You can\u2019t do nothing that I do.\u201d<\/p>\n

Reporter: We could talk about it more.<\/p>\n

Diggs: \u201cTALK ABOUT DEEZ NUTS.\u201d<\/p>\n

Clearly, Diggs went too far, and this would be unacceptable action from a winning team in the NFL, but with Jones always talking smack, he couldn\u2019t admonish his players for acting a fool. Instead, Jones tried to explain why Diggs said that.<\/span><\/p>\n

During his weekly Tuesday interview on\u00a0105.3 The Fan, Jones was asked if he thought the altercation indicated his players are focused on the wrong things. The Cowboys owner replied, \u201cNot at all\u201d before explaining why the tense exchange didn\u2019t bother him.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey\u2019re disappointed that they didn\u2019t make a play or that they are more aware than anybody about what they might not have done \u2013 where they busted an assignment, could have made a play \u2013 so it doesn\u2019t surprise me at all,\u201d Jones said. \u201cI have absolutely no commotion dealing with emotion.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jones expressed the team\u2019s disappointment so far on the season and he said you have to know when to \u201cbite your lip where you need to.\u201d However, this is unacceptable when it comes to winning organizations those would no doubt come with a fine, but in Jerryville it is hard to punish players for doing the same thing as the owner. Jerry continued by saying:<\/p>\n

\u201cThe bottom line is this is an emotional game, and it doesn\u2019t alarm me in any way to see the manifestation of emotion,\u201d Jones said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Jones was comedically asked:<\/p>\n

\u201cAre you familiar at all with deez nuts?\u201d<\/p>\n

He responded with:<\/p>\n

\u201cWell, you know \u2026. In that context, no. I\u2019d have to hear it said in context,\u201d Jones said. \u201cIf you want to know what it looks like, I\u2019m sitting here with a half-smirk.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
