The\u00a0Pittsburgh Steelers\u00a0saw an offensive explosion in Week 7 against the\u00a0New York Jets, scoring 37 points en route to a 22-point win.<\/p>\n
One of those touchdowns came off a Russell Wilson touchdown pass to George Pickens, marking Wilson\u2019s first touchdown as a Steeler and Pickens\u2019 first touchdown of the season.<\/p>\n
Wilson joined\u00a0The Jim Rome Show\u00a0<\/em>and talked about his relationship with Pickens, raving about his talent,<\/p>\n \u201cFirst of all, this guy is an absolute rock star,\u201d Wilson said. \u201cHe\u2019s a superstar on the field, all the things he can do. He\u2019s just got such amazing talent. God\u2019s given you amazing talent. Use it all. And also too, understanding that you\u2019re not focused on anything outside, just be focused on the moment.\u201d<\/p>\n Wilson also added that he gets on Pickens for certain things, but that he does it to better the young receiver, and that he\u2019s proud of his maturity.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve really been harping on George and hard on him and he handles it well,\u201d Wilson said. \u201cHe handles it all well. It\u2019s \u2018hey we\u2019ve gotta get extra work, man. We\u2019ve gotta get extra work before practice and after practice. We\u2019ve gotta spend time on it. We\u2019ve gotta watch this film. We\u2019ve gotta talk about it. We\u2019ve gotta have conversations.\u2019 And he\u2019s been unbelievable about that. The past couple weeks have been remarkable just watching his maturity, his growth, [and] his mentality.\u201d<\/p>\n
