But as Bronny finally made his long-awaited NBA debut on Tuesday night, alongside his father in purple and gold, the story seemed too surreal to be true.<\/p>\n<p>So much so that even fellow Lakers teammate\u00a0<strong>Anthony Davis<\/strong>\u00a0had difficulty processing the achievement. As the Lakers walked out of Crypto.com Arena with a well-earned win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, the celebrations revolved around the history created by the James family.<\/p>\n<p>LeBron and Bronny became the first father-son duo to play together in the NBA, let alone on the same team. As he stood at the scorer\u2019s table, he was joined by his father LeBron as the two officially prepared to step foot into an NBA game together for the first time. The historic moment was short-lived, as Lakers head coach\u00a0<strong>JJ Reddick<\/strong>\u00a0subbed out Bronny in just a couple of minutes. However, history was made nonetheless.<\/p>\n<p>Davis went on to address the magnitude of the achievement by LeBron. He has been with the senior James for nearly half a decade. During this time, the 9x All-Star has been able to witness James create history on a number of occasions. Thankfully, as Davis remarked in his interview, this time, the Lakers ended on the winning side in a game where James secured a major career achievement.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"h-anthony-davis-lights-up-the-league-in-season-opener\" class=\"wp-block-heading\">Anthony Davis lights up the league in season opener<\/h2>\n<p>While the highlight of the night was LeBron James and Bronny James standing toe-to-toe on an NBA court, Anthony Davis almost stole the show. The Lakers Big Man absolutely scorched the Minnesota Timberwolves, leading the Lakers to a comfortable 110-103 victory.<\/p>\n<p>Davis ended the game with a game-high 36 points, 16 boards, and three blocks on nearly 61% true shooting. The five-time All Defensive team nominee shut down the paint for the Wolves, stamping his claim as the best defender in the league.<\/p>\n<p>Nothing marked the dominance of Davis greater than his\u00a0thundering highlights\u00a0on Rudy Gobert, which left the Frenchman stunned. Following the game, Davis made his intentions clear about his goals for this season.<\/p>\n<div class=\"single-post\">\n<section class=\"section-intro\">\n<div class=\"selfie-and-desc\">\n<div class=\"desc\">\n<p>In a postgame interview, Davis\u00a0claimed\u00a0that he\u2019s aiming for the DPOY award.
