It does not matter what\u00a0Derrick Henry\u00a0is doing right now with the Baltimore Ravens; owner\u00a0Jerry Jones\u00a0is going to stick with his decision not to pay him in the offseason.<\/p>\n

Owner, President, and General Manager Jerry Jones joined the 105.3 The Fan to share his thoughts on the Cowboys visiting the San Francisco 49ers after their bye week.<\/p>\n

In the midst of his conversation with the same radio hosts that he threatened to have removed from their jobs just a week ago, Jones mentioned running back Derrick Henry, whom the Cowboys were rumored to be interested in signing during the offseason.<\/p>\n

Henry, a three-time All-Pro, currently\u00a0leads the league\u00a0with 873 rushing yards as he helped his Baltimore Ravens squad secure their fifth consecutive win on Monday night, 41-31, against the\u00a0Tampa Bay Buccaneers, where he rushed for 169 yards.<\/p>\n

That game marked his fourth 100-yard rushing performance of the season and his third performance with over 150 rushing yards.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0Dallas Cowboys\u00a0are struggling badly in the running game, and Jerry Jones had a chance to fix it.<\/p>\n

    Instead of recognizing his mistake, Jones dismissed the speculation, stating that Henry\u2019s style of play wouldn\u2019t have been a good fit for Dallas\u2019 offense.<\/p>\n

    He also stated that his high salary demands would have made managing the team\u2019s cap difficult.<\/p>\n

    \u201cI don\u2019t know if he\u2019d be having a career year in our situation,\u201d Jones said. \u201cWe don\u2019t run that type of offense at all. Derrick Henry didn\u2019t fit (because of) managing the (salary) cap.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
