The\u00a0San Francisco 49ers\u00a0fell short in their\u00a0Super Bowl\u00a0rematch against the\u00a0Kansas City Chiefs, 28-18, on Sunday.<\/p>\n

The 49ers still haven’t won back-to-back games this season and dropped to 3-4. The Chiefs, on the other hand, remained unblemished in six games.<\/p>\n

Apart from the defeat, the 49ers are hobbling, with several key players on the injured list.\u00a0Christian McCaffrey\u00a0has yet to suit up because of his Achilles tendinitis.\u00a0Brandon Aiyuk\u00a0is out for the rest of the season after tearing his ACL and MCL.\u00a0George Kittle\u00a0is bothered by a sprained foot.<\/p>\n

Most recently,\u00a0Deebo Samuel\u00a0was added to the list as he is dealing with fluid in his lungs and pneumonia. He tried to play against the Chiefs but left the game in the second quarter after having difficulty breathing. He checked in to the hospital later that evening.<\/p>\n
