MANCHESTER UNITED began the Ruben Amorim era with a 1-1 draw away at Ipswich.<\/p>\n

Marcus Rashford needed just 81 seconds to put the Red Devils in front at Portman Road, tapping home an Amad Diallo cross.<\/p>\n

Marcus Rashford scored less than two minutes into the Ruben Amorim era<\/em><\/p>\n

\"Amorim<\/p>\n

Amorim watched his side play out an unconvincing draw against Ipswich<\/em><\/p>\n

But Ipswich hit back when Omari Hutchinson\u2019s strike flew in via a deflection off Noussair Mazraoui.<\/p>\n

And it was the newly-promoted side who pressed for a winner in the second period.<\/p>\n

Amorim\u2019s No1 Andre Onana kept the scores level with a number of impressive saves as the points were shared.<\/p>\n

United\u2019s best player. Two key stops to deny Liam Delap but no chance for the deflected Omari Hutchinson goal.<\/p>\n

Then delivered an 87th minute save to keep out an effort from Conor Chaplin.<\/p>\n

NOUSSAIR MAZRAOUI \u2013 5<\/p>\n

Slotted in on the right of the three-man defence but unfortunate with the deflection for the goal.<\/p>\n

MATTHIJS DE LIGT \u2013 5<\/p>\n

Has been suspect this season and will probably be better suited to a back three although still given a tough time by Delap.<\/p>\n

JONNY EVANS \u2013 5<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old was targeted by Ipswich for his lack of pace and no surprise he was replaced.<\/p>\n

AMAD DIALLO \u2013 6<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

Did incredibly well to bomb past Jens Cajuste and deliver the cross for Rashford\u2019s early goal and was still a threat at the end.<\/p>\n

CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN \u2013 5<\/p>\n

Some nice touches going forward but too lightweight in this position in front of the back three.<\/p>\n

CASEMIRO \u2013 4<\/p>\n

Lucky to start ahead of Manuel Ugarte and was really poor.<\/p>\n

Struggled throughout before being subbed and could maybe have got a block to the Hutchinson shot.<\/p>\n

DIOGO DALOT \u2013 5<\/p>\n

Not suited to left wing-back although stayed there when Luke Shaw arrived because the English international replaced Evans in the back three.<\/p>\n

BRUNO FERNANDES \u2013 5<\/p>\n

Some of his link-up play was fine but United need a captain who can inspire this team and Fernandes is not the man.<\/p>\n

Sent a free-kick flashing past the post with 12 minutes left.<\/p>\n

ALEJANDRO GARNACHO \u2013 5<\/p>\n

\"Neither<\/p>\n

Twice called over by Ruben Amorim in the first half for instructions.<\/p>\n

Denied by a decent save from Aro Muric 50 seconds into the second half.<\/p>\n

MARCUS RASHFORD \u2013 6<\/p>\n

Criticised for his basketball trip to New York so to score after 80 seconds was two fingers up at his critics \u2013 but did not offer much after that.<\/p>\n

Luke Shaw 6 \u2013 Solid when he came on after a lengthy period on the sidelines. Much better than Evans as he slotted into the left-centre-back position.<\/p>\n

Manuel Ugarte 4 \u2013 Didn\u2019t help sway the midfield battle.<\/p>\n

Rasmus Hojlund 5 \u2013 Worked hard when he came on.<\/p>\n

Joshua Zirkee 5 \u2013 Some nice touches and interceptions but not really dangerous.<\/p>\n
