Rodri is happy to be contacted by Real Madrid, and also speaks out about coach Pep Guardiola\u2019s new contract with Man City.<\/i><\/p>\n

Rodri has spoken out about his future at Manchester City, claiming Pep Guardiola\u2019s decision to sign a new contract was a \u201cmajor motivation\u201d for him despite interest from Real Madrid being an \u201chonour\u201d. Manchester City star Rodri has left the door open for a move to Real Madrid, despite manager Pep Guardiola signing a new contract with Manchester City.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s clear that Pep Guardiola has been the most influential coach in my career. It\u2019s a great pleasure for the club and for Citizens that he\u2019s staying for at least two more years. When I signed for them, they told me that Pep Guardiola would only stay for one or two years\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Asked about his future, Rodri insisted he was happy at the Etihad but admitted that being linked with Real Madrid was an \u201chonour\u201d. Spaniard Rodri was delighted to be linked with Real Madrid: \u201cI am focused on my recovery.<\/p>\n
