LeBron James’ recent performance against the Sixers left his biggest critic, Skip Bayless changing his stance on him.
Skip Bayless and LeBron James
LeBron James is 39 years old and still dominates the NBA with his incredible performances. The Los Angeles Lakers most recently played the Philadelphia Sixers. James received a great deal of acclaim from the NBA community for his outstanding performance against the Sixers. Furthermore, Skip Bayless, James’ fiercest critic, unexpectedly praised James.
Bayless is renowned for his unconventional opinions about the NBA and its players, particularly regarding James, the Lakers superstar. But after seeing James play against the Sixers, he finally spoke up for him. James’ triple-double against the Sixers left Bayless speechless. In addition, he praised James as the “most durable superstar.”
The Lakers prolonged the Sixers’ dismal start with a 116-106 victory on Friday night, led by LeBron James. The four-time champion had his second triple-double of the season with 21 points, 13 assists, and 12 rebounds. In their return from a 1-4 trip, the Lakers still remain undefeated at home this season. 31 points from Anthony Davis, 20 from Austin Reaves, and 18 from D’Angelo Russell helped them.
LEBRON JAMES: MOST DURABLE SUPERSTAR EVER. NEVER SEEN ANYTHING LIKE IT. JUST BANGED KNEES WITH RUI, SHOOK IT RIGHT OFF, SCORED TWICE BANG-BANG. NEVER HAD A CAREER-THREATENING SURGERY. RAREST OF RARE.

However, it was James who took home all the praise, especially with a wonderful display against the Sixers. James’ commitment to the Lakers has been top-notch this 2024-25 NBA season. Earlier, he claimed that he was ready to play ‘all the games’ in the NBA this season. Barring any injuries, it remains to be seen how James performs for his side throughout the season.

Ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers matchup against the Philadelphia Sixers, LeBron James carried out his warm-up duties. But before that, someone was waiting for him. It was none other than Los Angeles Dodgers star Freddie Freeman and his son. James greeted Freeman and his son and exchanged words before carrying out his duties for the Lakers.

Freeman is a well-known personality among NBA stars and fans. It was so much so that, during a particular World Series game, his historic walk-off grand slam took over the Lakers vs Phoenix Suns matchup at the Crypto.com Arena. This showcases his popularity among the LA people as well as the NBA fans and players.
On the other hand, James and the Lakers are now 5-4 in the West after winning their recent matchup against the Sixers. Anthony Davis and Rui Hachimura returning to the roster remains a major boost to the Lakers and their head coach, JJ Redick. Up next for the Lakers are the Toronto Raptors on home court.
