Derrick Henry continues to prove why the Baltimore Ravens were right to invest in him when they signed the hulking running back to a two-year, $16 million contract back in the offseason.
The former Alabama Crimson Tide tailback put on a show again on Sunday to help the Ravens demolish the Denver Broncos in a 41-10 victory at home. He reached a big career milestone in the first quarter of the Broncos game when he rushed for a seven-yard touchdown to put the Ravens on the board.
With that touchdown, Henry became a member of the NFL’s 100-rushing-touchdown club, an achievement that his girlfriend proudly shared.
In an Instagram Story post, Henry’s girlfriend, Adrianna Rivas, re-shared the Ravens’ congratulatory graphic on his career accomplishment.
“TO GOD BE THE GLORY,” Rivas captioned the post.
With his first-quarter rushing score, Henry became the 10th player in NFL history to have at least 100 touchdowns on the ground.
But the 30-year-old Henry did not stop there. He added to his season (and career) total with another rushing touchdown in the third quarter to stretch Baltimore’s lead to 20 points before Justin Tucker followed it up with a successful extra-kick attempt.
So far in the 2024 NFL season, Henry has 1,052 rushing yards and 11 touchdowns on 168 carries.
