Neymar has emerged as a target for Inter Miami, with the Brazil international set to leave Al-Hilal in 2025.
The former FC Barcelona attacker has fueled rumors of a move to Florida after buying a $26m property in the state, with Inter Miami also believed to have made an opening offer for Neymar to get the winger out of Saudi Arabia.
Despite all this, though, Neymar currently looks set to join Santos next year, with the former PSG superstar closing in on a dramatic return to his boyhood club having left Brazil well over ten years ago for Europe.
Yet Inter Miami could now be plotting to sign one of Neymar’s Al-Hilal teammates.
Inter Miami make ‘tempting offer to sign’ Al-Hilal winger Malcom
According to Saudi Arabian journalist Tariq Al-Nofal, Inter Miami have made an approach to sign Al-Hilal attacker Malcom, who just like Neymar, is a former Barcelona forward and has played alongside Lionel Messi, Luis Suarez and Sergio Busquets.
Al-Nofal said: “I have exclusive news that will make Al-Hilal fans happy. The club have rejected a tempting offer from Inter Miami to buy the remainder of the contract of the Brazilian Malcom. This is news that will certainly make Al-Hilal fans very happy.”
Malcom was one of the first big-name players to make the move to Saudi Arabia, with the former Barcelona and Zenit St. Petersburg even scoring against Inter Miami earlier this year in Al-Hilal’s 4-3 win against the Herons in pre-season.
Yet with Al-Hilal rejecting an offer from Inter Miami for Malcom, it looks unlikely that the 27-year-old attacker will be heading to Florida anytime soon, even with the move being quite an exciting one on the surface.
Malcom could make a lot of sense for Inter Miami
Inter Miami have made it their thing since the arrival of Messi to sign players who have played alongside the Argentine great, with incoming manager Javier Mascherano taking this concept to the next level.
And although Malcom didn’t last long at Barcelona, the former La Liga star could be what Inter Miami need to hit new heights in MLS, with the winger in his prime and capable of adding a lot of value to the Herons’ front-line.
Indeed, Al-Hilal could need some convincing to let Malcom leave in January, yet a move to Inter Miami could be tempting for the Brazilian if another offer was to be made heading into 2025.
