BREAKING: PGMOL finally releases official statement on Jurrien Timber disallowed goal to be Onside,Var with another mistake, error corrected As Arsenal are now in third position due to goal difference – Congratulations Arsenal fans

Arsenal 1-0 Nottingham Forest

Jurrien Timber has been impressive so far. The versatile Arsenal defender, who has filled in at left-back due to Riccardo Calafiori’s injury issues this season, is now back on his more natural right side. Timber has shown plenty of attacking intent, making several runs into the Forest penalty area and cleverly winning a few free kicks under pressure.

Arsenal, despite some changes, look extremely dangerous. A well-executed move on the right, with Odegaard orchestrating as always, sees Saka pass to Jesus, who flicks it into the area for Timber. His effort is blocked by Milenkovic. Forest seem unable to cope with Arsenal’s movement at the moment.

At one end, Bukayo Saka makes light work of Alex Moreno, who had charged towards him in an attempt to disrupt the winger but only ends up outpaced. Saka races forward, reaches the byline, and squares it for Martin Odegaard, who hits it first time with his weaker right foot. It wasn’t a perfect strike but seemed destined for goal before Milenkovic blocked it.

At the other end, Jorginho is booked for bringing down a surging Anthony Elanga. Clear yellow card.

A brief flash of Taiwo Awoniyi’s strength. The Nigerian holds off four defenders, loses his balance but somehow gets back up with the ball still at his feet. A powerful presence.

22′ Arsenal 1-0 Nottingham Forest
Nottingham Forest have mostly been pinned in their own half but have found a moment to press with more urgency. Arsenal could have been caught off guard, but they stayed alert to the threat. Calafiori played a neat one-two with Merino before Trossard switched the play to William Saliba. Callum Hudson-Odoi considered pressing but opted to drop deeper, and Arsenal escaped unscathed.

20′ Arsenal 1-0 Nottingham Forest
Bukayo Saka is showing just how special he is. There were concerns he might not start or not be fully fit, but those fears have been proven wrong. He’s causing endless problems for Forest.
