Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is set to begin his motorsport journey with the formation of an F4 team for the Spanish team ‎

An old Formula 1 driver named Roberto Merhi and a Belgian goalie named Thibaut Courtois seem to want to start a Formula 4 team in Spain for the 2019 season.

The team might even race in their first junior series event the following year. It’s thought that the name “TC Racing” comes from the letters of the footy player from Spain.

Real Madrid's Thibaut Courtois set to enter motorsports in 2024 by creating a Formula 4 team

There have been times when Courtois was seen a lot in the Formula 1 pits, like at Monaco earlier this season. It is well known that Courtois is an avid sim driver and racing fan.

Thibaut Courtois is said to want to give young drivers a chance to compete in racing.

From what I’ve heard in Spain, Merhi and Courtois are putting together the team. Merhi is a former Marussia driver who will supposedly be an assistant.

Spain’s F4 is where TC Racing wants to start, and after that they might go to another youth class. This is because Spanish F4 is often the first step for drivers who want to move up from karts to single-seater racing.

There are five three-race rounds this year. The Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and Jerez in Spain, Estoril in Portugal, and Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium are all places where these races take place.

AS also says that Courtois’s idea doesn’t have a “concrete structure” yet, but the club is still thinking about it.

So what does Thibaut Courtois have to do with bikes? Some people know Courtois as a big Formula 1 fan. He has been to many races and been in the pit lane and on the grid. He was also a “celebrity” player in the Covid-19 virus F1 Esports.

During a very dangerous move at Silverstone against Alex Albon, the driver who is now Williams asked, “How is he that fast?!?” What does it look like? What kind of motor does it have?

“You got rid of a professional custodian!” George Russell laughed at what was going on.

Not long ago, Courtois also went to see Williams. He is also in a movie about Real Madrid where Carlos Sainz, a huge Madrid fan, plays FIFA against Thibaut Courtois.
