Neymar joined Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in a deadly Barcelona assault, and the Brazilian is already making references to getting back together with his old friends at Inter Miami.
Playing alongside virtual versions of the amazing ‘MSN’ three, the Brazilian ace revealed his sentiments while catching up over a computer game, suggesting a possible future partnership. Messi, Suarez, and Neymar-the formidable “MSN”-accumulated an incredible 364 goals and 173 assists during their Barcelona heyday, which lasted from 2014 to 2017. They topped their accomplishments by winning a treble in the 2014-15 campaign.
He and Messi temporarily reconnected in 2021 when the Argentine star relocated to France, following their breakup when Neymar joined Paris Saint-Germain. Since then, both have departed Paris; Messi moved for MLS’s Inter Miami in 2023, and Neymar left for Al-Hilal.
Neymar, however, recalled their wonderful relationship at a promotional event for Konami’s E-Football, where the three played as their Barcelona avatars, at one point stating: “I wish I was there too.”
Although there are other ways to take the 32-year-old’s remarks, it appears that he has been missing his former comrades while they enjoy the Miami sun. Neymar has never held back when voicing his wish to play alongside Messi again, allegedly saying to ESPN Argentina: “I’m not sure. I’m not really sure about that.
“I’m not sure whether I’ll perform in Brazil once more. Actually, I’d adore to perform in the United States. At least for a season, I would like playing there.”
Additionally, the former PSG player confessed to Globo’s Esporte Espetacular that he was both delighted and unhappy for the year he had because he experienced both sides of the coin, expressing disappointment over an unrealized reunion with Messi in Paris. He won everything in recent years and went to heaven with the Argentina squad, but he and I both went through hell with Paris.
“We get upset because we’re there to do our best, [to] be champions, and try to make history,” Neymar continued. We got together there in order to create history, which is why we resumed playing together. Regretfully, we were unable to attend.
